Privacy policy
Effective 23 October 2026
SubSeaSail®, Inc. ("SubSeaSail", "we") runs subseasail.com. This policy explains what we collect when you visit the site or contact us, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you email or call us, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, organization, contact details and your message, and we keep that correspondence.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and the site isn't directed to them.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and follow up on demonstrations, quotes, partnerships or contracting.
- To comply with legal obligations, including export-control and government contracting requirements.
- To run, secure and improve the website.
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business (listed below), when required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
Third-party services
| Service | What it does here |
|---|---|
| Squarespace | Hosts the site and provides visitor analytics. |
| YouTube, LinkedIn, X | We link to our channels on these services. Their own privacy policies apply once you follow a link. |
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work and for analytics. Where a cookie banner is shown, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may affect parts of the site, such as embedded videos.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and maintain a business relationship, and as required for our records, up to three years. Analytics data is kept according to Squarespace's retention settings.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or email transmission is completely secure. Please don't send classified, controlled unclassified (CUI) or export-controlled information to us by email.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email us at the address below and we'll respond within the time required by law.
California residents
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top.
